Commencing April 10th, 2023, and continuing through April 24, 2023, Steward Machine Co. will be conducting barge loading operations, resulting in a partial channel blocking of the Flint River, near Mile 26.5, in Bainbridge, GA. Throughout operations a deck barge will remain moored perpendicular to the bank and extend approximately 260 feet into the waterway. A manned towing vessel will remain on scene and all equipment will be lit throughout the duration of the operation. Mariners are advised to use extreme caution, transit the area at their slowest speed to minimize wake and coordinate passing arrangements with the on-scene towing vessel on VHF-FM Channel 16.
