Weekly Food Recalls Impacting Georgia

Damascus Bakery OPCO LLC is voluntarily recalling one production lot (#12031) of Bantam Classic Bagels due to an incorrect item being placed in the carton with an undeclared egg allergen. People who have an egg allergy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the items in this product lot.

Bantam Bagels were distributed to retail stores nationwide via distributors.

All product affected have a best by date of May 27, 2023 which has been printed on the left side of the carton and the top of the bag.

To date, no illnesses related to this recall have been reported. No other Damascus Bakery OPCO LLC or Bantam Bagels products are affected.

Consumers who have purchased the above product(s) are asked to dispose of the product immediately and contact Bantams Bagels Customer Service at 866-451-6744 for a replacement coupon.


Fairmont Foods, Inc. of Fairmont, MN is recalling corrugated boxes of Schwan’s Brand “Spinach and Artichoke Dip” with date code P82013 xxxx due to undeclared soy and wheat. People who have allergies or sensitivities to soy and wheat run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if the recalled product is consumed.

The recalled product is packed in a brown corrugated box imprinted with a red Schwan’s Brand “Spinach and Artichoke Dip” Net Wt. 24oz. (1lb 8oz) 680g. The box contains two (2) bowls in each box. The number #802 and the Product Information Code P82013 xxxx are located on the side of the packaging. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the incorrect packaging had been used.

Schwan’s may have distributed the recalled product to the lower 48 States through Schwan’s home delivery network. The recalled product was not sold in retail stores.

To date, there have been no reported injuries or illnesses.

Consumers who have purchased the affected product, Schwan’s “Spinach and Artichoke Dip” #802 Product Information Code P82013 xxxx are urged to destroy the product and contact Schwan’s for a full refund.

Albanese Confectionery Group, Inc. of Merrillville, Indiana is voluntarily recalling Albanese® Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans, 9 oz tub, because it may contain an undeclared peanut allergen. People who have an allergy or sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans were sold in stores in the following 15 states under the Albanese® brand beginning December 27, 2021:

Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

No illnesses have been reported to date.
