Art for Animals set for Saturday, February 3

The 3rd Annual Art for Animals event will be held Saturday, February 03, 2018 at the Firehouse Arts Center in Bainbridge. With the support of caring sponsors, this community is able to raise money to help support the Bainbridge-Decatur Co. Humane Society and their mission of “helping the helpless.”

The purpose of this event is to showcase the multitude of talents in the community and raise funds to build a desperately needed new shelter.

Artists, patrons and local businesses are invited to join in this fun filled evening.

The Animal Shelter is under the auspices of the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society, Inc., a 501(c) 3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible. The current facilities are deteriorating and severely inadequate to house and care for the many animals that come through the doors. The shelter is located within the Bill Reynolds Sports Complex and is housed in three separate buildings with poor insulation in two of the buildings and none in the third.

The new location is situated on Zorn Road, just off Highway 84. The facility is specifically designed for the proper care of animals; with the entire structure under one roof. A significant advantage of the site is its proximity to the airport. Transportation time and distance to meet the many rescue flights each week will be drastically reduced.
