You need Jesus,
Who bled and died for you.
On the cross at Calv’ry,
He showed His love for you.

You need Jesus,
To save you from your sin.
To dwell inside your spirit,
And give you peace within.
◊
You need Jesus,
If you would be set free,
From bondage to Satan,
And walk in liberty.
◊
You need Jesus,
Whose blood He shed for you.
To wash away your sins,
And give you life anew.
◊
You need Jesus,
To save your soul from Hell.
To write your name in Heaven,
And tell you all is well.
◊
You need Jesus,
To walk with you each day.
To comfort, cheer, and guide you,
Along your pilgrim way.
◊
You need Jesus,
Who is a Friend indeed.
He’s closer than a brother,
And will supply your ev’ry need.
◊
You need Jesus,
To speak to you each day.
Through His Spirit and His Word,
As you trust Him and obey.
◊
You need Jesus,
To intercede for you.
When your sins you do confess,
He speaks to God for you.
◊
You need Jesus,
Who is your strength and shield.
For He will never leave thee,
When on the battlefield.
◊
You need Jesus,
And the hope of His return.
Then to see our blessed Savior,
And the home for which we yearn.
◊
You need Jesus,
Who is our all in all.
He is Life that gives us life,
Who we honor above all.
