Assistance and Help Programs

Their Mission: To serve as a catalyst for improving results for Georgia's children, families
and communities.

Bainbridge-Decatur County currently is sponsoring 19 programs in 18 organizations in Decatur County.
The Bainbridge-Decatur County United Way supports programs and not organizations.

CASA provides advocacy by interested and committed community members for an individual child
through the court and government agency processes until their case is resolved.

STEPPING STONE is a transitional home in Bainbridge Georgia for recovering female addicts
who have completed a drug treatment program.

The Decatur County Certified Literate Community Program (CLCP) is a state initiative promoting and supporting literacy efforts through local community collaborative organizations.

The Friendship House of Jesus is an out-of-school time program offering free services to at-risk children in low-income families to help reduce or eliminate the influence of crime and poverty.

The services offered at the Center are for the enhancement of daily functioning, to assist people in achieving skills necessary for successful community living, facilitate work skills and empower people to achieve personal goals.

The Visiting Nurses Association is committed to providing quality home health care services
in the residence of patients with illness or disability.

Hospice of Southwest Georgia is committed to helping terminally ill patients recapture the
spirit of living and make the most of remaining time with family and friends.

BAIN is a Center for Independent Living dedicated to promoting independence and improving
the quality of life for individuals with disabilities in South Georgia.

The Department of Juvenile Justice provides supervision, detention and a wide range of treatment
and educational services for youths referred to the Department by the Juvenile Courts.

If you are the victim or witness of one of many different types of crime you have rights and
responsibilities under Georgia law. The Office of Victim Services is there the help you know your
rights and responsibilities.

The non-profit Corporation develops and administers programs designed to provide families
opportunities to obtain and maintain and specifically to assist the economically disadvantaged
population.
