Charlie C. Livingston was born October 27, 1941, in Elmodel, GA, the son of Tom & Charlie Mae Hay Livingston. He was a graduate of St. Petersburg High School but lived most of his life in South Georgia/North Florida area. Many remember Charles from his years at Tallahassee Communications/First Communications.
He was a man who never asked for much and was thankful for every blessing God provided. A faithful member of First Christian Church, Charlie loved the Lord and quietly showed his faith by working hard, serving his church, and helping others whenever he could. He was humble, kind, and generous, and he believed there was no place for gossip. Whether at church, at work, or with family, he never made it about himself. His employees often said he never talked about what “I” did, it was always what “we” accomplished.
Charlie’s happiest days were spent outdoors. He and Judy loved riding around their property in his Jeep, watching the wildlife, soaking in beautiful sunsets, or, when he was able, climbing onto his red Massey Ferguson tractor. Nothing lit up his face more than being with his grandchildren except maybe a good prank played on family and friends. (No one was immune.) Charlie also enjoyed traveling, especially RV trips with friends and visits to Bryson City, North Carolina. He lived with a grateful heart, loved people well, and leaves behind the example of a life marked by quiet faith, hard work, and genuine kindness.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Judy Livingston; his children, Betty Boyett (Earl), Charles Livingston, Jr. (Gail), and Michelle Sweeney-O’Neal (Todd); his grandchildren, Colby & Lindsey, Nicholas & Kasey, Matthew, Mary Elizabeth & Cade, Crystal, Chelsie Elise & Austin, Eli & Megan, Eric & Raven, Will & Kirsten, Lacy & Josh, Nathanael, and Isabella; his great-grandchildren, Chandler, Livingston, Nolan, Alexander, Lyndon, Cayson, Tryston, Braxton, Layla Grace, Fisher, Tyson, Axel, Michelle, Michaela, Dawson, Stella, William, Hailey, Kylie, Braelyn, and Ava; his sister, Judy Ann Findley; and a host of extended family. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Clay Livingston; his grandchildren, Chase & Marcus; his great-grandchild, Bentley; and his brother, Tommy Livingston.
