Cathy M. Floyd, 62, of Climax, Georgia, passed away on February 26, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Josh Holmes, Bubba Harrell, Kelby McMillan, Tyler Beaty, Tyler Lloyd, Mason Smith, Lane Mills, Ricky Moore, and Dylan Harrell.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., prior to the service on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Immanuel Baptist Church. Cathy McMillan Floyd was born on February 17, 1964, in Donalsonville, Georgia, the daughter of Roy McMillan and Janelle McConnell McMillan. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dearly loved her children and grandchildren. Cathy enjoyed home renovations, sitting by the pool in the sunshine, and keeping a clean and welcoming home. She had a love for music, especially disco and the Bee Gees and was known as a wonderful cook, particularly for her pound cakes and peach cobbler. She also enjoyed Diet Pepsi and donuts.

Survivors include her husband of almost 35 years, Tim Floyd; her children, Brandy Jackson, Hali Moore (Dave), and Katie Brannan (Tristan); her grandchildren, Alex, Alana, Lyric, and Saydee; her mother, Janelle McConnell McMillan; her siblings, Brenda Palmer, Roger McMillan (Nina), and Karen Holmes (Jimmy Lee); and a host of extended family and friends. Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Roy McMillan; her brother, Smokey McMillan; and her son-in-law, Keith Jackson.

  1. So very sorry to see this. Cathy and I was classmates and the very best of friends. It had been years since we saw eachother but any time I saw her she was like a ray of sunshine..all bubbly and all smiles. Always very friendly and kind. Rest on my friend. You will be missed. My prayers and condolences goes out to Cathy’s family and friends.

  3. I am so sorry for your loss she was a beautiful lady and she was always smiling and I enjoyed working with her at the store making breakfast and dinner. She will be missed by a lot of people and god has a special angel
