Bertie Marie Owen Dollar, age 93, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Seminole Manor in Donalsonville, Georgia.
Services for Mrs. Dollar will be held Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. The Rev. David Grubbs will officiate. William Scott, Danny Dollar, Dennis Dollar, Robert Humphrey, Ronald Johnson, and Glenn Walden will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Georgia State Patrol Post #14. The interment will follow in West Bainbridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Bertie Marie Owen Dollar, age 93, of Colquitt, Georgia, formerly of Bainbridge and born in Cairo, Georgia, passed away peacefully after a long, meaningful life. She was the owner of Don-Lin Ceramics and was known for her creativity, gentle spirit, and service as both a Red Cross and Gray Lady volunteer.
She is survived by her children, Johnny (Diana) Dollar, Linda (Lynwood) Busby, and Hardy (Tracy) Dollar; her sister, Lorene Walden; and a large family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Neal “John” Dollar; her daughter, Lisa Marie Dollar; her parents; several siblings; her grandson, Lee Busby; and her great-granddaughter, Abbygale Dollar.
Bertie leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and love that will continue to bless all who knew her.
