Bronnie Janell Pate was born April 11, 1950, in Colquitt, GA, the daughter of Billy & Bronnie Addison Pate. She lived her entire life in Southwest Georgia and seemed to know and have connections with generations of people across the board. For years, she was a point of contact at Memorial Hospital. Janell was a member of First Baptist Church.

Janell loved people and they loved her. She always had candy or bubble gum to share, and not just with children. She enjoyed baking and probably gave away more than she ever tasted. Her trips around town visiting people usually included a little something sweet, and she seemed to always remember your favorites.

Church family and church activities took precedence on her “regular” schedule though spending time with her family was always the priority. Janell was willing to lend a helping hand when needed and provide the comic relief otherwise. Fried catfish would get her moving in a fast, quick minute, and she would never turn down an invitation.

Survivors include her children, Patricia & Kenneth McLendon of Vada and Bobby & Terri Cook of Crawfordville; her grandchildren, Donnie & Mandy, Shawn & Kendall, Cody, Austin, and Emma; her great-grandchildren, Bryson, Madison, Alayna, Owen, and Asher; her sister, Janice Pate; and a host of extended family. In addition to her parents, Janell was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Randall Williams, and her sisters, Billie Ann Widener and Alice Faye Widener.

Bryant Funeral Home, located at 105 N. Florida Street, is assisting the family with arrangements. (229-246-3321)
