“. . . for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature” (Romans 1: 26 KJV).
The word “even” means “level, equal, and alike.”
Romans 1: 21-32 describes the gradual decline, degradation, and corruption of society as men and women turned from monotheism and the worship of the one and only true and living God to polytheism and the worship of many false and imagined gods and their idols.
The men were the first to sink into this abominable abyss of wickedness but society as a whole remained shielded and aloof from it all as long as the women refused to participate by giving up their femininity, their decency and dignity.
Women have a femininity that is seen in their graciousness, softness, kindness, gentleness, care, and concern that makes them the repository of the best of decency and dignity in humanity. When the women give this up and fall into the same abominable filth and sins the men have already fallen into then all hope for society is lost and judgment from God is pending.
It’s the same as though a king would lay aside his crown and robe and step down from his thrones and do some work that was below his dignity and was unbecoming a king.
Feminism has worked very hard to bring the women down, though they say they are working to bring them up. They want the woman to be equal to the man in all things. They believe if the man has it or does it, the woman should have it and do it as well. And the woman has given up her femininity in this quest for equality. And society has lost the touch of true womanhood.
Christianity is the only religion that has truly elevated the woman and demanded that she be respected and honored. Any society that is influenced by Christian thought form will show proper respect and honor to the woman.
In attitude, spirit, disposition, temperament, and now in sinful behavior the woman is equal with the man. What the man was only doing before, the woman has cast away all her decency and dignity to show she can do what the man does and do it better for worse. Some women are proud of the fact that they can drink more, curse more, and smoke more than the man, which is really nothing to be proud of. The women are becoming manly and the men are becoming effeminate. A real man will want the woman to possess the graces of femininity.
When the man abandoned all restraint and denounced all knowledge of God to commit the most abominable sin, the woman hesitated briefly and then cast away her most prized possession and that which society needed the most, her femininity, her womanhood, her decency and dignity, and in so doing brought society down with her, and incurred the judgment of God on that society.
