Albert Ellis Sizemore, age 83, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Georgia, on April 24, 2024. Services for Mr. Sizemore will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. Minister Tim Mahler will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. A private interment will be held at the Brinson Cemetery in Brinson, Georgia.
Albert Ellis Sizemore was born in Bainbridge, Georgia, on September 11, 1940, to Robert Earnest Sizemore and Amie Wimberly Sizemore. On October 12, 1974, Ellis married Betty Jean Bullock. Together, they shared almost 50 years of marriage.
Mr. Sizemore was reared in Decatur County where he graduated high school. After 41 years of service, he retired from Pepsi-Cola where he was a production manager. He was a “jack of all trades” and could fix anything. Ellis loved to fish and was an avid NASCAR fan especially favoring #24, Jeff Gordon. Mr. Sizemore was a good husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Albert Ellis Sizemore is survived by his wife, Betty Sizemore; his children, Darryl Sizemore (Lisa) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Donnie Kay Sizemore of Whigham, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Smith (Jordan) of Pooler, Georgia, Tanner Sizemore of Whigham, and Samantha Herrell (Chris) of Jefferson, Georgia. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Olivia and Caroline Herrell, Hudson Smith and Reagan Smith, who will join the family in September. Mr. Sizemore is also survived by his brother, Charles Sizemore (Joanne) of Griffin, Georgia. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, James Monroe Sizemore.
