Inspector Notes: Observed flow meter provided but float appeared stuck. Could not determine flow rate of pool. CPO to unstick or replace flow meter by Monday, October 24 or sooner.


35 – operator facility inspections performed; written documentation

511-3-5-.22(5) – (5) the trained operator must perform a minimum of two visits weekly and be able to provide assistance whenever needed.

Inspector Notes: Facility has not appointed a responsible person onsite who is in charge of pool maintenance, water testing, safety checks, etc. in absence of CPO. Daily inspections and pool maintenance and water testing is not being performed as required. No written documentation is being kept. Facility is to appoint responsible person to perform maintenance, water testing, and safety checks in absence of CPO by April 1, 2023. Pool will not be able to be opened until trained responsible person is appointed, performing duties, and keeping proper records.


36 – daily recordkeeping: water testing and self inspection performed

511-3-5-.22(1) – (1) all swimming pools and spas covered by this chapter shall be maintained under the supervision and direction of a properly trained operator who shall be responsible for the sanitation, safety, and proper maintenance of the pool and all related equipment.

Inspector Notes: Written documentation/records kept by CPO does not meet pool rules. Written records must include: 1) Information of circulation, filtration, and disinfection systems, 2) safety equipment onsite, 3) pool stairs and deck condition, 4) water testing results (pH, chlorine twice a day) as required, and 5) corrective actions and maintenance performed. CPO is to begin using DPH record keeping forms immediately. In absence of appointed responsible person, CPO is required to make two visits daily to check pH and chlorine disinfection levels. Rule 22(9) Free chlorine or total bromine and pH shall be tested a minimum of two times daily during the hours of operation.

Inspector Notes: Observed throwing ring at pool, but throwing ring does not have a 1/4″ diameter throwing rope attached to ring. Length of throwing rope is to be 1 1/2 X width of pool. Throw ring not having required rope attached should have been noted/documented by CPO and brought to attention of management for replacement. Attach required throw rope to throw ring by October 24, 2022.
