On Tuesday, November 09, 2021 at approximately 1135 hours, Bainbridge Public Safety Captain Charles Strickland responded to First Port City Bank, 1403 Tallahassee Highway, in Bainbridge, Georgia in reference to a counterfeit bill.
Strickland made contact with a clerk of the bank, Summer Boyd.
Boyd advised a customer, Shankerbhai Patel, came to the bank to deposit money and a $50 “For Motion Picture Only” bill was in the deposit. Patel advised Boyd someone gave her the bill, but didn’t know when or where it occurred. The transaction did not go through.
Boyd turned the bill over to Strickland. Strickland searched Bainbridge Public Safety records for more information on Patel, and there were no matching records. This case is inactive.

On Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at approximately 0030 hours, Investigator Charles King was located at his residence off duty. Investigator King received a call regarding a Motor Vehicle Theft and Aaron Parrish. Investigator King notified Chief Investigator McCoy about the phone call. Chief McCoy then notified Decatur County patrol units and also Miller County units. Miller County Sheriff Rick Morgan spotted Parrish coming into the City of Colquitt. Sheriff Morgan attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the blue Dodge Ram driven by Parrish. Parrish refused to stop leading Sheriff Morgan on chase back into Decatur County. Parrish wrecked the truck in the back of a field located off of Highway 310 at Pine Grove Road. Parrish exited the vehicle and ran into the woods. Seminole County Deputy Jim Shingler arrived on scene with the Seminole County K-9 units. Seminole County Deputies along with Decatur County Deputies started tracking Parrish in the woods. Parrish was spotted shortly after entering the woods and taken into custody. Parrish was transported to Decatur County Jail.

On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at approximately 1020 hours, Investigator William McClanahan, Investigator Charles King, and Lt. John Presilla were located at 603 Carl Brock Road Climax, Ga, in reference to a call about found property. Upon arrival Inv. McClanahan, Inv. King and Lt. Presilla located a 1971 Honda 175, black in color. Lt. Presilla ran the tag through 911, and the bike came back to a James Brock. Brock was contacted by phone and stated that he owned the bike and it was stolen from his home.

Upon arrival, Deputy Smith spoke with Complainant, Randy Blyth, who stated that his ex-wife, Tina Blyth, was trying to take his 15-year-old son home with her, and he has custody.

Fowler asked Kelly what the reasoning for him swerving was and Kelly responded, “I have been drinking tonight. Cpl. Fowler placed Kelly in handcuffs advising he was being placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence.

The complainant, Marie Hand, reported her son, Billie Joe hand, missing and was last seen on October 27, 2021, Wednesday night, in Montgomery Alabama; walked off from TA Travel Center, Montgomery Alabama, 980 West South Blvd., around 2130 hours. On Friday, October 29, 2021, 1230 hours, Lt. Trolinger was contacted by Teresa Davis, Hands sister; regarding Hands’ whereabouts in Montgomery, Alabama. Davis told Lt. Trolinger, Hand, was in contact with her and was relocating to the bus station. Davis told Lt. Trolinger she was on her way to pick him up.

McCall was contacted by Angie Hicks in reference to a stolen vehicle. Hicks advised Sgt. McCall that the vehicle that her daughter reported stolen was not stolen. Hicks advised Sgt. McCall that the car was given to her by her daughter about two years ago and the car was inoperable. Hicks stated that she eventually got the car fixed and the car stop working again.
