Memorial Hospital and Manor announces new hires

Memorial Hospital and Manor (MHM) announced recently that Arkansas native She’mikia (Miki) Ford was hired as Director of Quality and Risk Management and Lauren Harrell was promoted to Director of Development.
 
Miki joined MHM in November of 2020 and has over 19 years of experience in the healthcare industry, beginning her career at age 19 as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
 
Hospital CEO Jim Lambert states, “Shemikia is a valuable addition to our team. She has a strong background in healthcare quality and performance improvement that will greatly benefit our organization.”
 
Miki is a graduate of Magnolia High School in Magnolia, Arkansas. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of Arkansas and went on to receive her Master’s degree in Health Administration from Webster University. She served as a Baldridge Examiner for 2 years prior to leaving Arkansas. She has worked in numerous capacities in healthcare quality including the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, Arkansas Department of Human Services as a Surveyor for nursing homes, and a Quality Management Coordinator for University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She has been married to her spouse Sciguard for 14 years and together they have 5 children, Wesley, Sciguard Jr., Caleb, Bryce and Saloria.
 
Lauren joined MHM in 2018 in the role of Community Development Coordinator and has over 15 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and public relations.
 
Commenting on the promotion, hospital CEO Jim Lambert stated, “Lauren has done a great job in the last two years championing the Georgia Heart Tax Credit Program for Rural Hospitals. This promotion is a natural extension and we are excited to have her in this greater capacity of development for our hospital.”
 
Lauren is a graduate of Bainbridge High School and went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida State University and her Master’s degree in Public Administration from Valdosta State University. She is active in the community with the Public Health Board, the Samaritan Counseling Center, Grace Church, and the Memorial Hospital Foundation. She has been married to her spouse Mark for 19 years and together they have three children, Tanner, Katie, and Ella.
