Mr. Phillip Frederick Jacob Kelly, age 82, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at his home in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mr. Kelly will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. Pastor David Fell will be officiating. The interment will be private at Mt. Olive Church Cemetery.
Phillip Frederick Jacob Kelly was born December 8, 1936, in Bainbridge, to Fred Kelley and Georgia Cloud Kelley. Phillip married Helen Kirkland Kelly, who preceded him in death. They were married 57 years. The first half of his life, Phillip farmed. Later, he became a CNA and worked at Memorial Manor. He was at the Manor for over 30 years. Phillip was a “homebody” but loved being in his yard. He enjoyed every part of keeping his yard in perfect condition. When able, he attended Calvary Assembly of God Church. Phillip Kelly will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Phillip Kelly is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Phillip E. (Eddie) and Donna Kelly; sister, Betty Godwin of Tallahassee, Florida; brother, Remus Whitehead Kelly; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother-in-law, Bill Godwin, and sister-in-law, Janice Kelly.
