Judy Jeffords

November 28, 1941 – January 9, 2019

Judy Jeffords, 77, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Webb and Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery.

Judieth Thompson was born November 28, 1941 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Walter and Clyde Smith Thompson. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1959 and Perry Business School. Judy was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Working many years in real estate with Century 21 Jeffords Realty, Judy earned accolades for her success. She loved people and served others through her real estate business, her church and Bainbridge Junior Woman’s Club over the years. Judy was an avid reader and especially loved digging into the Bible then sharing with her Bible study group. Her Bridge partners were like family and she tried to make every game a special memory. Known as “Miss Daisy” to her followers on social media, Judy could light up a room with her quick wit, tales of her life experiences and questions to ponder.

Survivors include her children, Michael “Mike” Barber and his wife, Lisa, Winde Barber Farrington and her husband, Brent, Jeff Jeffords and his wife, Patti, Martha Reesby and her husband, Pat, and Laura Horton; her siblings, Tommy & Susan Thompson and Jeff & Carolyn Thompson; her grandchildren, Holly Barber Horne and her husband, Kyle, Anna Barber, Nick Barber, Cole Farrington, Sarah Michael Farrington, Jonathan Farrington, Cameron Jeffords, Corey Jeffords, Ben Horton, Jeremy Vermillion, Jamie Reesby, Patrick Reesby, Laura Reesby and Josh Horton; and her great-grandchildren, Wyatt Reesby, Olivia Reesby, Lillian Horton, Wyatt Horton, Dylan Hawk and Peyton Hawk. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, H. L. “Sonny” Jeffords; and her siblings, LaJeanne & Scott Gilmer and Marijane Thompson.
