Ryan Phillip Atkins

October 27, 1987 – November 13, 2018

Ryan Phillip Atkins, 31, lost his courageous seven-year battle with brain cancer and moved to Heaven on November 13, 2018. Ryan was a lifelong resident of Tallahassee.

Ryan is survived by his children, Michael Atkins and Londyn Tyler; his mother, Sonja Atkins; his step-mom, Phyllis Wrench of Brooksville; his brothers, Kris Wrench (Kate) of Gainesville and Matthew Johnson of Savannah; his grandmother, Linda Atkins; and a multitude of much loved family and friends.

Ryan was preceded in death by four of his grandparents; his father, Ken Wrench of Brooksville; and his brother, Peter Johnson of Savannah.

Ryan entered college at age 15 and earned his AA degree from Tallahassee Community College. He was employed in the food service industry until July 2018. Ryan was inspired by TV’s “Chopped” cooking show and enjoyed preparing creative meals in “Chopped” fashion with his family. His children were his heart, his passion. He was at his happiest when spending time with them and spoke many times about how proud he was of them.

Family will receive friends prior to the service, from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m., on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Evangel Assembly of God Church. A service celebrating Ryan’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Evangel Assembly of God Church.

In lieu of flowers, Ryan’s family requests donations to the Evangel Assembly of God, Speed the Light Ministry, 2300 Old Bainbridge Road, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
