Decatur County 4-H’ers, Abby Bennett and Langston Bennett, participated in the 2018 National Peanut Festival Prospect Market Hog Show and in the Market Hog Show on November 6th-7th.
Abby was named Reserve Champion Market Prospect Hog and also had a 1st in class with her additional prospect market hog. Langston received 2nd place in 9 & 10 year old showmanship during the prospect show, and placed 2nd and 6th in weight class with his two prospect market hogs. Prospect market hogs must weigh between 199 pounds to 50 pounds to qualify for the show.
During the Market Hog Show (200 lbs. – 290 lbs.), Abby placed 2nd and 4th in weight class with her two market hogs, and Langston received 3rd in class. Decatur County 4-H is so proud of these 4H’ers!
