Shelter, food, and debris removal needs

For those in need of shelter, The Red Cross has opened a temporary facility at Jones-Wheat Elementary School Gymnasium, 1401 East Shotwell St. Bainbridge, GA 39819.

A distribution center for water, tarps and MRE’s (Meals Ready-to-Eat) is open to the public at Bainbridge Southwest Regional Technical College, 2500 Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39819. Hours of operation are today from 1:00-6:00 pm and Friday, Oct. 12 from 8:00 am – 6:0 pm.

Dinner served at Southwest Baptist Church will be served at 5:00 pm today, Friday, Oct. 12 at 1101 Faceville Hwy, Bainbridge, GA 39819.

The following dump stations are currently open and accepting debris:

-Transfer Station -1005 Avenue C, Bainbridge, GA 39819

-Decatur County Road Department – 1201 Airport Rd, Bainbridge, GA 39817

-Bainbridge City Office – 1503 Pierce St., Bainbridge, GA 39817

-Bainbridge Public Safety Headquarters – 510 E Louise St, Bainbridge, GA 39819
