Valerie June Gardner was born January 5, 1966 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Libby and Jimmy Gardner. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1984. She married Daniel Llamas and lived the life of a Navy wife for many years. She traveled all over and lived in California and Tennessee before returning to her hometown of Bainbridge. Val was Baptist by faith.

Known as “the favorite daughter”, Val made quite an impression on those she met. She served for years as the receptionist at the Opryland Hotel where she never encountered a stranger. Her big heart and love for others meant she often gave of herself freely. She cared for her family, her neighbors and was a foster mother to children over the years. Animals of all descriptions who wondered onto Val’s path felt loved unconditionally. Val considered Aubrey, Hillary and Caden the wind beneath her wings.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel Llamas; her son, Aubrey G. Brock of Bainbridge; her parents, Libby & Jimmy Gardner; her sisters, Kimm Powell and her husband, John, of Bainbridge and Heather Herman of Raleigh, NC; her grandson, Caden Aubrey Brock; and several nieces and nephews. Val was preceded in death by her daughter, Hillary Lee Brock.
