Mark Daniel Peak, 60, of Bainbridge, GA, formerly of Thomasville and Villa Rica, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018.
A private graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 with Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating.

Mark Daniel Peak was born December 26, 1957 in Jacksonville, FL, the son of George Truett Peak and Helen Phillips Peak. He graduated from Wolfson High School. After attending Martha Berry College in Rome, GA, Mark returned to Jacksonville where he went to work for Roma Foods in 1978. In 1988, Mark married Teresa (Terry) D. Brannen. After dedicated service to the company in Orlando, Atlanta and Cairo, GA, Mark was in his 40th year with the company, which became Performance Food Group (Powell).
Mark loved his work, beginning as a truck driver and working his way to the position of the President for PFG/Powell. When he was not working, Mark was busy with projects at home or spending time with friends and family. Mark enjoyed boating, cookouts, listening to music, playing Jeopardy and, in general, having fun and making sure that everyone around him was also having fun. Mark was a friend to many people from all walks of life, and if you knew him, you loved spending time with Mark. He was very generous and compassionate and tagged everyone with a special nickname. If his life here on earth was a book, it would be many volumes long, filled with stories from a multitude of narrators.
Survivors include his wife, Terry Peak; his children, Cameron Lyon of Atlanta, GA, Rachael Peak of Bainbridge, GA, Savannah Peak & Travis Mann of Dallas, GA, and Cody Peak also of Bainbridge, GA; and his sisters, Pat Spakausky and her husband, Patrick, of Jacksonville, FL and Karen Ostrow and her husband, Steve, of St. Augustine, FL. Mark was preceded in death by his parents.

I met Mark one time when I bought a white 1998 Mercedes SL500 from him in May 2014. I just did a search so i can show him the current state on the vehicle, but realized he made his transition. My deepest sympathy to his family. Peace and blessings. To whoever may be interested. The Mercedes is in tip top shape with lots of work invested into it and looking fantastic in 2022. I started rumor food in 1982 I was too young to go into the warehouse so Mark had me mowing the grass the day I turned 16 the insurance would cover me to go into the warehouse some more showed me how to select your orders loaded trucks ride to forklift and then I went out as a driver’s helper from that day on I didn’t want to go back into the warehouse then I got what they used to call us your first license at 18 Mark put me out there and let me start driving and I drove for him until 2010 Mark was the best boss anybody could ever have and a friend that anybody could ever have he made going to work fun nobody hardly ever called in everybody seemed happy because of Mark he was just an all-around good guy going to miss you buddy
