December 1, 1929 – July 4, 2026
Gloria J. McCullough, 96, of Clinton, PA, passed away peacefully in her home on July 4, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Born December 1, 1929, Gloria lived a life marked by faith, hard work, and selfless love. Though an only child, she built the large, loving family she always dreamed of as the devoted mother of eleven children. She was the heart of her family and a cherished grandmother who helped raise many of her grandchildren.
She worked for many years at Traveler’s Paradise and The Sewickley Country Inn. She was affectionately called “The Cookie Lady” for the countless dozens of homemade cookies she baked to help support her family.
Gloria found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved baking, tending to her garden, and gathering her family around the table for Sunday dinners. Those moments together created cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
Gloria is survived by her children, Charles (Georgenia) Whittaker, Donna Messner, Kay (Ken) Craig, Frank McCullough, Harold “Bear” (Hallie) McCullough, Kristie (David) Horner, and Neal (Nathania) McCullough; 24 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold “Tuffy” McCullough; her sons, Harvey “Bunky” Whittaker and Randy Whittaker; her daughters, Sheila Lane and Tina Dopudja; and her grandson, Tristan McCullough.
Gloria will be remembered for her open door, generous spirit, steadfast faith, and unconditional love. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Hebron Presbyterian Church in Clinton, PA, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Jason Rea. A luncheon will be held directly after the service. Everyone is warmly invited to attend.
Though deeply missed, Gloria’s family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Her legacy of faith, love, hospitality, and devotion to family will live on for generations to come.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hebron Presbyterian Church in Clinton, PA, in memory of Gloria McCullough.
