The Board of Directors of the Decatur County Sports Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for the 2026 Class of Inductees. In order to be eligible for induction, the candidate meet the following criteria:
• At least 40 years of age
• Current or past participant, coach, referee, trainer, or other person who made an exceptional contribution to sports and who have lived a lifestyle as a positive role model
• Must have attended a school in Decatur County or be a native of Decatur County or lived in Decatur County for a sufficient length of time to be considered a permanent resident
Nomination applications are available at Bainbridge High School, Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce, Decatur County Board of Education, and Grace Christian Academy.
The deadline for applications for consideration for the 2026 Decatur County Sports Hall of Fame is January 15, 2026. Nomination applications received after this date will be filed for consideration in the next Sports Hall of Fame selection process. The 2026 Decatur County Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is scheduled for March 7.
