Mr. Preston Wayne Ritter, age 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida.
A memorial service to honor Wayne will be held Saturday, March 22, 1:00 pm, at New Hope Christian Center, 2725 Florida-Georgia Highway, Havana, Florida 32333. Pastor Ron Roessler will officiate.
Wayne was born April 2, 1955, to Vernaway Ritter and Ida Mae Strickland Ritter. He and his large group of siblings grew up in Attapulgus, Georgia. Wayne married his best friend and love of his life, Cindy Morgan. He loved to be outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He was a talented ironworker. Wayne deeply loved his family, especially those grandchildren! A man of deep faith, he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Wayne was much loved by his family and will be sorely missed.
Mr. Ritter is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cindy Ritter; children, Steven Ritter and Michael Ritter (Rachel); grandchildren, Lily Ritter, Wyatt Ritter and Avery Ritter, Hayden DeShane, Bryleigh DeShane and their mother, Sandra Ritter; brother, Malcolm Ritter (Patty); sister-in-law, Delores Ritter; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jean Givens, Mary Ann Green, Ray Ritter, Vernon Ritter, Sue Ritter, Johnny Ritter, Townzel (Tex) Ritter, and Jimmy Ritter.
