Mr. Quennell Lee Graham, age 82, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, August 31, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family in Bainbridge, Georgia.
Quennell Lee Graham was born May 3, 1944, in Greenwood Springs, Mississippi. His dad served in the United States Air Force, and they traveled as he served all over the world. He graduated from high school in Aberdeen, Mississippi, in 1964. Lee then joined the U.S. Army and served in Korea on the DMZ and several U.S. bases. He received a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal, as well as other acknowledgments of hard work and exemplary service.
In February 1966, Lee married Jerry Ann Lawrence. They had been friends and soulmates for over 60 years. They made their home in Albany, Georgia, and he went to work. Lee was a hard worker, talented at his job. Lee supervised all sorts of road and bridge construction and paving. Military bases, airports, bridges, roads, and highways were much improved by his construction and plant operation experience.
He and his family moved from time to time as his work required and made their home in Bainbridge in 1979.
His off time was spent restoring their Washington Street home, working in his yard, and also restoring old cars, mostly Corvettes. He was meticulous, and the cars were works of art when finished.
In 2004, Lee made one final move back to Bainbridge for retirement.
Deeply loved by his family, Lee will be sorely missed.
Lee Graham is survived by his wife, Jerry Ann Lawrence Graham of Bainbridge, Georgia; children, Anjannett Griffin (Barry) of Ellijay, Georgia, Matthew Graham of Guyton, Georgia, and Christopher Graham of Bainbridge; siblings, Donald Wayne Jones (Debbie) of Winfield, Alabama, and Pamelia Milam of Columbus, Mississippi; grandchildren, Emmalee Stewart (Steve) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Haydn Griffin (Caitlin) of San Antonio, Texas, Quen Graham of Kirksville, Missouri, and Matalyn Graham of Guyton, Georgia, plus four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Bobby Lynn Jones and Patricia Ann Parker.
