Mr. Kenneth Edward Smith, age 42, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
A memorial service to honor his life will be held Thursday, October 1, at 4:00 p.m., in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home.
Kenneth “Kenny” Edward Smith, age 42, of Whigham, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2026. Kenny was born on September 21, 1984, in Camilla, Georgia. He was a beloved child of Tammy Taylor and the late Bobby Joe Smith. He attended Bainbridge State College, where he earned his phlebotomy certification, although he pursued a career as a contracted painter, which was his true passion.
Kenny, or as his mama called him “Bubba,” was the oldest of his four siblings. Growing up, he loved spending time with his friends, playing baseball, and raising pit bulls. He always had a way with dogs, almost as if they spoke their own secret language. He also had a passion for drawing and woodworking, where he could carve anything he attempted. His signature look will always be his tanks, jeans (slit on both pant legs at the bottom to fit over his shoes), a wallet chain, and his iconic bandana. What Kenny loved most, though, was his three little girls that he called “His Beauties.” We know he struggled silently for many years, but it never stopped him from loving his family. We find peace knowing he is not struggling anymore. His battle on earth has come to an end, and he is finally free, walking side by side with our Heavenly Father.
Kenny is survived by his mother, Tammy Taylor of Whigham; daughters, Aubrey-Ann Smith, Gloria Smith, and Hazel Joe Smith, of Bainbridge; siblings, Kiley Smith of Pelham, GA, Logan Hughes (Alexis) of Tallahassee, Florida, Tylor Hughes (Samantha) of Dawsonville, GA, and Randi Adams (Jessie) of Tifton, GA. Nieces and nephews are Shane “Cleve” Staines (Carla), Braxton Staines, Madisyn Hughes, Nadalee Hughes, Jayce Hughes, Greyson Hughes, Chloe Hughes, and Remi Jo Adams. He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Joe Smith, and maternal grandmother, Bonnie Lee Culverson.
The family will receive friends at the end of the service.
