Denny A. Powell, 73, of Bainbridge, formerly of Forest Park, GA, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
After proudly serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, Denny returned home and built a life around the things he knew best. As the owner of a gun shop, he became well known for his knowledge, craftsmanship, and willingness to help others. He enjoyed working on firearms as much as he enjoyed visiting with the customers who came through the door, many of whom became friends over the years.
A Christian by faith, Denny lived with a deep appreciation for his country and the freedoms he had defended. When he wasn’t in the shop, he could often be found fishing, enjoying the peace and quiet of the water.
Survivors include his special friends, Kim & Jennifer Dollar and John Aeinlich.
