Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. EXPANDS Recall due to Possible Foreign Matter Contamination

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc., a Portland, Ore., establishment, is expanding its Feb. 19, 2026, recall of frozen not ready-to-eat (NRTE) chicken products that may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically glass, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The establishment is recalling approximately 33,617,045 additional pounds of various ready-to-eat (RTE) and NRTE chicken and pork fried rice, ramen, and shu mai dumpling products, for a combined total of 36,987,575 pounds subject to recall.

This expansion includes 16 products produced between October 21, 2024, and February 26, 2026, under brand names Ajinomoto, Kroger, Ling Ling, Tai Pei, and Trader Joe’s. These products have best-by dates ranging from February 28, 2026, through August 19, 2027.

The products subject to recall bear establishment number P-18356, P-18356B, or P-47971 inside the USDA mark of inspection. The items were shipped to retail locations nationwide. Certain Ajinomoto items were exported to Canada and Mexico.

The problem was discovered when the establishment notified FSIS that it received multiple consumer complaints involving glass found in product. Upon further investigation, the establishment determined that a vegetable source ingredient, specifically carrots, was the likely source of the glass contamination, which also impacted the additional products subject to this expanded recall.

There have been no confirmed reports of injury due to consumption of this product. Anyone concerned about an injury should contact a healthcare provider.

FSIS is concerned that some product may be in retailers’ or consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Announces Voluntary Recall of Stuckey’s Corporation Pecan Log Rolls Due to Labeling Error

Georgia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper has announced that Stuckey’s Corporation, based in Wrens, Georgia, is voluntarily recalling select pecan log roll products due to a labeling errorSpecifically, “Cherry Pecan Log Roll” items were mistakenly packaged in “Original Pecan Log Roll” wrappers that failed to list cherry as an ingredient.

“Protecting the safety and well-being of Georgians remains our top priority, and we are grateful the establishment pro-actively alerted us to the potential issue so we could take corrective action,” said Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper. “Our food safety team works with state, federal, and industry partners to identify potential risks, respond swiftly when issues arise, and ensure that products on store shelves are safe, wholesome, and held to the highest standards.”

The affected products were distributed to retailers across multiple states, including Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington.

FSIS Issues Public Health Alert for Ready-To-Eat Beef Jerky Products Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergen

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing a public health alert for beef jerky products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The products may contain soy lecithin, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label. A recall was not requested because the products are no longer available for purchase.

The ready-to-eat beef jerky items bear best by dates of February 17, 2027 or prior. The following products subject to the public health alert are [view labels]:

6-oz. plastic packages containing “DRIED HAWAIIAN STYLE BEEF CRISPS, ORIGINAL SALT & PEPPER FLAVOR”, and bearing establishment number “EST. 2625” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

 

4-oz. plastic packages containing “PUNAHELE JERKY COMPANY INC UNCLE K’S BEEF CRISPS”.

 

4-oz. plastic packages containing “PUNAHELE JERKY COMPANY INC KILAUEA FIRE SPICY BEEF CRISPS”.

These items were distributed to retail stores in Hawaii and sold via online sales nationwide.

The problem was discovered during a routine FSIS label review.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a health care provider.

FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ pantries. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Savannah Bee Company Recalls Honey BBQ Sauce-Mustard Due to Undeclared Wheat and Soy

Savannah Bee Company is recalling their HONEY BBQ SAUCE- MUSTARD, 16FL OZ B1L1360525 Best Before 05/16/27 UPC 8 50033 93758 9 due undeclared wheat and soy. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat or soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the honey BBQ sauce-mustard.

This product was shipped nationwide to distribution centers, retail stores and consumers between 7/30/2025- 2/26/2026. These products were packaged in clear glass bottles with an orange Honey BBQ Sauce Mustard Label with the lot number and best before date etched on the neck of the bottle.

All jars of honey with a “Honey BBQ Sauce-Mustard” Label with batch code B1L1360525 must be disposed of immediately as they may contain the “Honey BBQ Sauce-Sweet”. Please see the photos included below of affected products.

The recall was initiated after the company was notified by a customer that the Honey BBQ Sauce – Sweet was mis-labeled with a “Honey BBQ Sauce-Mustard” label. Subsequent investigation discovered the mislabeled products failed to include the allergens wheat and soy in the ingredient statement that is contained in the Honey BBQ Sauce-Sweet.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged to dispose of the product and request a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact customer service at 800-955-5080 M-F 8AM-5PM EST.

This recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the Food and Drug Administration.
