Linda Wilson Phillips

December 18, 1953 – January 10, 2026

Linda Wilson Phillips, 72, of Whigham, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Linda Gayle Wilson was born December 18, 1953, in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of James & Lottie Gleaton Wilson. She was a graduate of Cairo High School and worked until her retirement at Ithaca Sewing Factory. She was Baptist by faith.

Linda knew all about what it took to be a true southern woman. She cared deeply for her family, kept an immaculate house, provided good ol’ home cooking, and even crocheted. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and deer hunting. (Linda currently holds the female record at Chickasawhatchee WMA.) Her strong spirit, filled with grit and grace, will continue to shine through the stories and memories shared by her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Phillip Grigsby and Robert Grigsby, Jr. (Wendy); her grandchildren, Kayla, Gavin, and Hunter; her siblings, Brenda, George, Clinton, and Carl; and a host of extended family. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Earl Grigsby and Jimmy Phillips, Sr., and her siblings, Phillip and Ann.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Whigham Community Club (Rattlesnake Roundup grounds). Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.bryantfuneralga.com.
