William David “Billy” King, Jr. passed away on Sunday morning, August 17, 2025, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. A memorial service to honor Billy will be held on Thursday, August 28 at 11:00 AM at Bethany Baptist Church in Brinson with the Rev. David Grubbs officiating.
Billy was born February 5, 1960, in Bainbridge, Georgia. He was the son of the late William David King, Sr. (Bill) and Jimmie Ruth Cumbie. He is survived by his sister, Brenda King McNair (Mike) of Louisburg, North Carolina; sister Linda King Dillard of Recovery, Georgia; brother Edwin King (Brenda) of Colquitt, Georgia; sister Carolyn King Chason of Thomasville, Georgia; and his partner Kayron Haas Lindsey of Bainbridge, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his son, Roger King, and brothers-in-law, George Robert (Dilly) Dillard and Harvey Clifford (Bubba) Chason.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bethany Church Cemetery Fund, 216 Bethany Church Road, Brinson, Georgia 39825.

Thank you for your kindness, I’m going to miss my brother. He’s not suffering anymore from his broken body anymore.
I have known Billy since I was 8 years old. I remember riding my bicycle 🚲 to Billy’s house when I was 12 years old and seeing my first swimming pool. Never would have thought that 30+ years later I would have one. I also remember working with Billy and his Dad laying carpet in Panama City in condos. I could go on and on. You will be missed Billy, R.I.P.
Met Billy at the campground when we first moved down here. Super nice guy. Always cracking jokes and smiling. He will be missed.
Wow. I was real shocked and saddened to hear this news today. I have many fond memories of Billy and the King family as we grew up close to one another in West Bainbridge. My sincere condolences to the entire King family.
