Bainbridge Wrestling has multiple medal winners; Looking forward to a busy week

Bainbridge Wrestling competed in the two day Cam Brown Classic tournament in Tallahassee this past weekend (12/2/2022-12/3/2022). The team was primed to place at least 2nd as a team, though due to injuries, the team fell to 4th place out of 10 teams. The Florida tournament had great competition and shows what the Bearcats need to work on. Battling through the tough competition was eight members of the wrestling squad. In the JV Division, Roderick Smith, Brian Sanders, and Bradley Marshburn, earned Gold Medals. In the Varsity Division, Seniors Josh Fillingame and Kagan Castro, were able to seize Bronze Medals, while Senior teammates Brian Pugh and Malcolm Spann earned Silver Medals. Zackary Burdick, Junior, is the 215 pound Champion. Earning a Gold Medal, Zackary has improved his record to an impressive 13-0.

Bainbridge Wrestling will be traveling to Lee County today (Tuesday 12/6/2022). The Bearcats are going to take on the Lee County Trojans, Cook County Hornets, and the Monroe Tornadoes to battle it out in front of a crowd during the Trojans Wrestling Senior Night.

Saturday (12/10/2022) the Bearcats will be traveling to Cook County High School to compete in the 2022 Hornet Duals; Wrestling will begin at 10am.
