NarrativeOn October 12, 2022, at approximately 2350 hours, Decatur County Deputies were notified that Miller County Sheriff's Office Deputies were in an active pursuit with a vehicle, traveling towards Decatur County. Decatur County responded to the area of Colquitt Highway. Once in the area, Sergeant Jordan Phillips observed a vehicle approaching him at a high rate of speed. Sgt. Phillips activated the Stalker Patrol radar unit inside of his patrol vehicle. With visual and audible tones, Sgt. Phillips Stalker Patrol radar unit clocked the approaching vehicle at 105 MPH in a 55 MPH zone, just before entering the city limits of Bainbridge.

NarrativeOn Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at approximately 1348 hours, Decatur County Sheriff's Office Investigator Garrett Wooten was on duty and located in his office at the Decatur County Sheriff's Office. While there, Inv Wooten received a phone call from Richard Maxwell. Richard stated that he had just discovered that the rear sliding window of his father's 2016 Ford F250 truck had been busted out. Richard stated that the truck was located in a field, on Antioch Church Road at the corner of Jones Road. Inv Wooten then went to that location.

NarrativeOn Thursday, October 13, 2022, at 0737 hours, Decatur County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) Investigator (Inv.) Vincent Edmond was on duty and located at Potter Street Elementary School, in Bainbridge, Georgia.  Inv. Edmond heard Decatur-Grady E911 dispatched a call for service in reference to a domestic happening beside the roadway on Tallahassee Highway/Highway 27. Decatur-Grady E911 advised that a black male was dragging a black female alongside the roadway and that he had been traveling in a white SUV. Passing motorist reported that this assault was occurring on Tallahassee Highway between the area of N. Griffin Avenue and Watauga Road.  Inv. Edmond then ended contact at Potter Street School in went in route to this location.
