Bainbridge Lady Cats Pitchers Rally Together to Shutout Westover

Bainbridge Lady Cats defeated Westover 19-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Destiny Woodard struck out Tejah Lawson to finish off the game.

Brenna Conley led Bainbridge Lady Cats to victory by driving in five runs. Conley went 3-for-4 at the plate.

In the first inning, Bainbridge Lady Cats got their offense started.

Bainbridge Lady Cats tallied seven runs in the fourth inning. Bainbridge Lady Cats batters contributing to the big inning included Conley, Kylie Miller, Lenijah Henry, Woodard, and Emma Dollar, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

A single by Serenity Brooks in the fourth inning was a positive for Westover.

Conley was the winning pitcher for Bainbridge Lady Cats. The pitcher went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out seven and walking zero. Woodard threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Autumn Hosley took the loss for Westover. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing ten hits and 19 runs while striking out one.

Bainbridge Lady Cats totaled ten hits. Conley and Miller all managed multiple hits for Bainbridge Lady Cats. Conley went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity in hits. Bainbridge Lady Cats was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Abigail Holley made the most plays with nine.

Brooks led Westover with one hit in two at bats.
