Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity stayed in it until the end, but Colquitt County pulled away late in a 10-5 victory on Tuesday. The game was tied at five with Colquitt County batting in the top of the sixth when #8 singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Colquitt County opened up scoring in the first inning. Colquitt County scored one run when #16 singled.
Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity scored four runs in the third inning. Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity batters contributing to the big inning included Kylie Miller and Abigail Holley, all driving in runs in the frame.
#22 got the win for Colquitt County. undefined allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking zero.
Brenna Conley took the loss for Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity. Conley surrendered ten runs on 15 hits over seven innings, striking out five.
#5 started the game for Colquitt County. The fireballer went four innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out eight and walking one.
Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity collected eight hits. Miller, Haylee Nix, and Conley all had multiple hits for Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity. Miller led Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity with three hits in four at bats.
Colquitt County tallied 15 hits. #16, #12, #6, #8, #22, and #11 each racked up multiple hits for Colquitt County. #16 went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Colquitt County in hits.
