Land Evaluation, Meat Evaluation and ATE advance to the State Contest

The Land Evaluation team was composed of Pierce Taunton, Lawson Murray, Brent Miller and Shane Hoskins. The members of this team had to determine soil characteristics and land capability classes based upon the characteristics of soil quality. This team placed 2nd in the Area 5 CDE and has advanced to the State CDE in November! Lawson Murray was the Overall High Individual for the Area 5 Land Evaluation CDE!

The Meat Evaluation junior team was composed of Abby Grubbs, Kayleigh Tallent, Riley Bradford and Kalee Grace Buchanan. The Senior Meats Evaluation team was composed of Macy Goodman, Addison Cook, Rylan Bland, McKenzie Hand and Rachel Hayes. The junior Meat Evaluation team placed 1st in the Area 5 CDE! Abby Grubbs with the 2nd High Individual in this CDE! The senior Meat Evaluation CDE team won the Area 5 CDE! Rachel Hayes was the Overall High Individual in this CDE! BOTH teams will be advancing to the State CDE!


The Agricultural Technology and Equipment ID team was composed of Holten Dollar, John David Bell, Gamble Tabb and Dawson Cottles. The members of this team had to identify tools used in agricultural mechanics and survey land with measurement tools. This team placed 2nd in the Area 5 CDE and has advanced to the State CDE in December! Holten Dollar and Dawson Cottles tied for being the 4th High Individual for the Area 5 CDE!
