Decatur County Parents,
We have been continuing to monitor the approaching tropical storm. We are anticipating it moving through our area in the early morning hours tonight. Its final path and strength at landfall will determine its overall impact on our area. We are hopeful we have no major problems in Decatur County, but with the storm’s arrival in the late night to early morning hours we will have no idea what conditions our roads will be tomorrow. For that reason, we will be closing school tomorrow for all students, faculty, and staff. This will ensure that if we have any downed trees or power lines tonight those can be addressed before anyone gets on the roads.
Provided all goes well with this storm, we will be back on our normal schedule Wednesday the 18th.
