Three Bainbridge FFA members selected by the State FFA Association to serve at the 94th National FFA Convention

The beginning of summer break this year was no different as a deadline for the Georgia FFA National Delegate Applications was approaching. To become a National Convention Delegate with the Georgia FFA Association, the student must be in the 11th or 12th grade, have an outstanding resume, cover letter, letters of recommendations and service statement to be selected. Based on Georgia’s statewide FFA membership, the Georgia FFA Association has been allocated 39 official voting delegates for the 94th National FFA Convention. These 39 FFA members are selected to join the state FFA officer team as official voting delegates for our state at the National Convention in October. Serving as a Georgia Delegate for the National FFA Convention requires these members to make a commitment to service. In addition to serving and representing the members of the Georgia FFA Association, these students will represent the image and direction of the Georgia FFA Association to fellow delegates, FFA members, teachers, state and national FFA staff, Alumni, sponsors, and the general public. The delegates  will also be expected to handle the official business of the National FFA Organization on behalf of Georgia’s over 73,000 members, in a professional manner.

We are honored to have three Bainbridge FFA members to be selected as national voting delegates for the Georgia FFA Association. Those members are rising seniors, Kathryn Cohen and Brent Miller and rising junior, Macy Goodman. These members will travel to the 94th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis,Indiana with the Georgia FFA delegation and spend the week discussing policies, business and official matters of the National FFA Organization with other voting delegates from all over the country. To be selected as a National Delegate, is an honor and privilege that is afforded to a select group of FFA members each year. We couldn’t be more proud of the hard work and dedication these three FFA members have put into their FFA career. Congratulations Macy, Brent and Kathryn!

In his application, he said, “I think it would be a new and exciting opportunity to go along with other National Delegates and meet other people throughout the Georgia FFA Association while also knowing that I am serving my chapter and the State Association to the best of my abilities.”
