Lynn exhibits Swine at The Exposition in Indianapolis, IN

The Exposition Junior Livestock Show was held June 13th-19th at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is one of the largest junior swine shows with over 2,000 exhibitors registered for this show. One of those exhibitors was our very own, Carson Lynn. Carson is a rising sophomore at Bainbridge High School. He is active in FFA where he is currently serving as the chapter Sentinel, he is active in the Decatur County 4H Club and is a Georgia National Fair Junior Livestock Ambassador. Carson traveled to Indianapolis with his livestock and family to exhibit his livestock projects at this premier livestock show.

Carson had a phenomenal week while at The Exposition. He was in the top 15 in intermediate showmanship. This drive had 275 exhibitors! In addition, he placed 4th in Class 21 of Crossbred Gilts and 4th place in Class 1 of Poland Barrows. This is a huge accomplishment for this young showman and shows just how dedicated he is to the livestock industry. When speaking with Carson about the week he said his favorite parts were “ doing the thing I love (showing pigs)” and “ hanging out with friends that I don’t get to see very often”.  Anyone who knows Carson Lynn knows that he is a hard worker and is always looking for ways to work harder and be better than the last time he entered the ring. He said that he will be more prepared next year when he is able to show at The Exposition. All in all, he learned valuable lessons and made lifelong relationships with other exhibitors. From your Bainbridge FFA members and advisors, we are proud of you and look forward to your continued success with your livestock.
