Lynn and Hayes selected as Georgia National Fair Jr. Livestock Ambassadors

Out of many applicants across the state, ten young people were selected to serve a one year term as a 2021 Georgia National Jr. Livestock Ambassador. Among those ten were Decatur County students Rachel Hayes and Carson Lynn who will represent the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter by showcasing the livestock and equine industries of our state. Both Rachel and Carson are experienced livestock exhibitors and members of 4-H and/or FFA. They understand the true definition of hard work, dedication, loyalty and respect, all qualities that define the organizations that they represent.

Each candidate submitted an application and video which were reviewed and narrowed for further selection in an interview process. During their year of service Rachel and Carson will be involved in multiple livestock, equine and commercial events onsite as well as throughout the state. They will also have the opportunity to broaden their understanding of the livestock industry while gaining skills to further their education and workforce capabilities. The Livestock Ambassadors will serve in leadership roles in their communities and in all the major shows at the Georgia National Fairgrounds this year.
