On January 29, 2021, at approximately 0819 hours, Decatur County Sergeant Austin Spence was patrolling the area of Hwy 84 E headed West when he observed a white in color sedan traveling at a high rate of speed. Sgt. Spence clocked the vehicle at 97 in a 65 mile per hour zone. Sgt. Spence turned around on the vehicle, activating his blue lights and siren conducting a traffic stop on 84 East near Hidden Springs.

On Friday, January 29, 2021, at approximately 2022 hours, Deputy Kirkland was conducting a security check at the storage buildings located at 2475 Dothan Rd. As Kirkland pulled his patrol vehicle to the back side of the storage buildings and observed a white Chevy Impala parked in front of storage building number 29 and 30. Kirkland further observed that the driver’s door and the trunk were open on the car. Kirkland also observed that several of the storage buildings were open. Kirkland remembered from an incident one week prior to today where Kirkland had answered a call to the same storage buildings where criminal damage had been done to the storage buildings. Kirkland and the owner had closed all the buildings. Kirkland then radioed Decatur/ Grady 911 and advised that Kirkland would be out with the vehicle and asked for another officer to come to the location. Hodges and McMillan were arrested and transported to the Decatur County Jail.

Sherburn was arrested and transported to the Decatur County Jail.

On January 30, 2020, at approximately 0721 hours, Decatur County Sergeant Austin Spence was patrolling the area of Yates Spring Road near Yates Road when he observed a burgundy in color F250 sitting in the driveway to a field. Sgt. Spence made contact with the driver, later identified as Earnest Jasper Jackson. Jackson initially gave the name of Joseph Taylor which came back to him as an alias to Jackson. Sgt. Spence ran the name Jackson gave to which it came back wanted out of Marianna, FL. Jackson was arrested on Financial Transaction Card Theft and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.

On Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at approximately 1833 hours, Corporal Aaron Austin, Deputy Dustin Strickland, and Deputy William McClanahan responded to 1302 Douglas Drive in reference to a Wanted Subject. Upon arrival, Cpl. Austin spoke with Wesley Glisson who had a warrant from Bainbridge Public Safety. Cpl. Austin had E911 to run Wesley’s information and the warrant was confirmed. Cpl. Austin then placed Wesley under arrest. Cpl. Austin then transported Wesley to Bainbridge Public Safety without incident.

On Thursday, February 4, 2021, at approximately 1001 hours, Deputy Timothy Fowler and Sergeant Austin Spence were located at 1509 E. Broughton St, Bainbridge, GA, in reference to a Civil Pick Up Order for Child Support Check. Upon arrival, Dep. Fowler made contact with Justin Gadson at this residence who was notified that he had a Child Support Pick Up Order for Failure to Pay Child Support. Gadson was placed under arrest by Dep. Fowler and transported to the Decatur County Jail.

On February 4, 2021, at approximately 2035 hours, Deputy Patrick Wilkinson, Lieutenant Justin Bedwell, and Deputy Jordan Phillips responded to Mike Floyd Paving, on 2182 Dothan road, in reference to a Business Alarm. Upon arrival, Dep. Wilkinson and Lt. Bedwell observed the front window of the front door of the business as being shattered.
