On Monday, January 11, 2021, at approximately 1746 hours, Deputy Timothy Fowler and Lieutenant John Presilla responded to the area of Faceville Highway and Meadowbrook Subdivision, in reference to Traffic Control. Upon arrival to this area, Lt. Presilla clocked a white in color vehicle occupying four individuals going 103 mph in a 55-mph speed zone. Lt. Presilla flipped around on the vehicle initiating his emergency lights and sirens attempting to conduct a traffic stop. E-911 had advised Lt. Presilla that the driver of the vehicle, Dequan Watts, was wanted out Decatur County Sheriff’s Office on a Failure to Appear Warrant. Watts was placed under arrest and transported to the Decatur County Jail.

On January 11, 2021, at approximately 0953 hours, Decatur County Sergeant Austin Spence was patrolling the area of Hwy 27 South near the Palmer Motel, when he observed a black in color Ford Mustang in his rear-view mirror fail to maintain lane, crossing into the paved median with the front driver side of the vehicle. Sgt. Spence ran a check of Anderson driver’s license through E-911. Anderson came back Wanted out of Colquitt County for Failure to Appear. Sgt. Spence placed Anderson under arrest and transported him to the Decatur County Jail.
