On Thursday, September 10, 2020, at approximately 1901 hours, Deputy Dustin Strickland was on patrol when he observed a vehicle that was parked/abandoned in the roadway on Main St. near Railroad Street, in Climax, Georgia. Deputy Strickland observed that the vehicle was abandoned and radioed to Decatur/Grady 911 and advised them to run to the tag to see if we could make contact with the owner. E-911 advised that the owner, Cedric Stewart, had a Grady County address; therefore, Deputy Strickland asked E-911 to send a Cairo city unit to his address in an attempt to make contact.

Upon arrival, Deputy Austin spoke with Earl Boyett who stated that a Charles Bryant had been going on another Circle B property at 309 Rich Road and taking metal from there and scrapping it. Earl stated that he just wanted Charles trespassed from there because he does not want Charles potentially getting hurt.

Investigator Edmond was contacted by Chief Investigator Elijah McCoy and asked to make contact with an Arthur Perkins Jr., in reference to a Burglary that had occurred the previous day at a residence at 111 Florence Drive Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia. Investigator Edmond and Chief Investigator McCoy later responded to this address.

Phillips made contact with the complainant/victim, Ashley Smith. Smith stated that she returned at approximately 1930 hours and noticed that the door jam on the front of the house had been damaged and appeared as if someone tried to break into her residence.
