Mildred Joyce Evans was born May 23, 1938 in Cook County, GA, the daughter of Clifford Lee and Mildred Joyce Owens Evans.  She was of the Episcopal faith. Family is what mattered most to Joyce.  Surrounded by loved ones on her weekly Thursday gatherings, was the highlight of the week. Joyce loved to hide away in romance novels, and you could always find her out in the yard digging around in her flower beds.

If you had to name one hobby that described Joyce the most, canning food would have to be it. She often got distracted with the labors of making delicious, homemade canned foods. Everyone wanted to taste some of her canned pickles, jellies, salsas, sauerkraut and spaghetti sauce.
