Faye Patricia White was born April 15, 1939 in Climax, GA, the daughter of Bomer Eugene White and Willie Etta Mobley White. She married Jimmie Martin in 1956 and they made their home in Decatur County. Pat was a member of Southwest Baptist Church.

Pat established herself as the matriarch of the family with no qualms. She had a strong personality, and no one would ever question her love for God and her family. She always put others first and wrote her story of faith and perseverance in ink. Pat considered the mountains her “happy place”. She enjoyed fishing and was an excellent cook. (She made a mean FOURTEEN layer chocolate cake.) When asked what you will miss the most, her smile, her “I love you baby”, and her hugs come to mind first. Pat had a solid presence that left a heartprint on everyone she met.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Jimmie Martin; her daughters, Bobbie Martin Barfield and her husband, Troy, and Pam Martin-Wells and her husband, Steven; her grandchildren, Amee & Jeff, Richard, Casey & Kendra, Brock & Amanda, and Bailey & Dillon; her great-grandchildren, Reese, Britney, Mason, Skyler, Liam, Dawson and Beckham; and her favorite feline, Socks. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Clyde Eugene White.
