James (Jim) Randall Hutto, Jr.

James (Jim) Randall Hutto, Jr., age 87 of Donalsonville, Georgia, living at Lake Seminole, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, April 7, 11:00 a.m., at Spring Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Jimmy Dean and the Rev. Brian Hatchett will be officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the men of Jim’s Sunday School Class. Lunch will be served for family and friends following the service. To honor Mr. Hutto’s request, his body was donated for anatomical study to Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida.

Jim was born September 3, 1930 in Aransas Pass, Texas, to James Randall Hutto, Sr. and Mary Etta Brothers Hutto. They later moved to Bartow, Florida where he was a graduate of Bartow High School. Jim attended the University of Florida and was a devoted fan of University of Florida football. Mr. Hutto served in the United States Air Force. He retired from Babcock and Wilcox as a draftsman/engineer. After retirement, Jim sold chain-length fence and, later, worked with Bruce Fire Equipment Company. During his lifetime, he was an avid fisherman, handyman, and reader. Jim was a member of Lake Seminole Fellowship Club. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, where he has served as assistant Sunday School teacher. His lessons mainly related to Bible history. He was a member of the cemetery committee, ushered, and helped with a variety of other activities.

James Randall Hutto, Jr. is survived by his beloved and caring wife, Lou Hutto; his children, Ruth Kendricks (Bobby), Jeanne Robbins, Randy Hutto (Kathy), and Gregory Hutto; brothers, Tommy Hutto (Lavonia) and John Hutto (Linda); 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Randall Hutto, Sr. and Etta Hutto, and sister, Geraldine Hutto Pendarvis.
