Inspector Notes: Observed locking mechanism on self-closing entry gate was missing. Gate will self-close but will not lock due to lock mechanism missing. Repair or replace gate locking mechanism by 9/1/21 C.O.B or prior to calling EH back for reinspection.


4 – water clarity: main drains clearly visible

Inspector Notes: Observed pool water very turbid at time of inspection. Main drains while visible, were very hard to see. Observed excessive leaves and dirt in pool at time of inspection. Pool is to be maintained and have acceptable water clarity by 9/1/21 C.O.B. or at the time EH is called for reinspection.


11 – appropriate lifesaving equipment present

511-3-5-.18(10)(b) – (b) a minimum one-fourth inch diameter throwing rope one and one-half times the maximum width of the pool or fifty feet in length, whichever is less, to which has been firmly attached a ring buoy with an outside diameter of approximately fifteen inch

Inspector Notes: Observed life-saving equipment scattered about pool and pool deck. Body hook was lying on pool deck. Two float rings were observed floating in pool. Neither float ring had required throw rope attached to the ring. A water and rot resistent rope, minimum of 1/4″ diameter and 1 1/2 times the pool width is required for each float ring. Life saving equipment is to be stored tidy on fence as normal and float rings are to have throw ropes attached by 9/1/21 C.O.B. or by the time EH is called for reinspection.

Inspector Notes: Observed pool float line unhooked from one edge of pool and wrapped around exit ladder at deep end of pool. Float line is to be reattached as required by 9/1/21 C.O.B. or by the time EH is called for reinspection.


16 – pool deck: maintained, unobstructed and clean

511-3-5-.06(1)(f) – (f) the deck, including coping, shall have a minimum four feet width of continuous, unobstructed walking area maintained at all times unless otherwise allowed in the chapter.

Inspector Notes: Observed deck/lounge chairs, safety equipment, and pool light and wiring scattered about and within 4 feet of water’s edge. Pool deck is to be cleaned up and tidy be 9/1/21 C.O.B or by the time EH is called for reinspection.

Inspector Notes: Observed broken skimmer cover at time of inspection. Broken cover is a tripping and safety hazard and is to be replaced by 9/1/21 C.O.B or by the time EH is called for reinspection.


30 – deck/rinse shower maintained

511-3-5-.18(17) – (17) a minimum of one rinse shower shall be provided on the pool deck of all public pools and spas. water used for rinse showers may be at ambient temperature.

Inspector Notes: Observed deck rinse shower was missing from pool area. Stubup plumbing and cutoff for shower was still present, however shower was missing. Repair/replace pool shower by 9/1/21 C.O.B or by the time EH is called for reinspection.

Inspector Notes: Observed underwater pool light light has been removed from housing and was currently lying on pool deck. Underwater light wiring was still connected to pool light. Pool light was wrapped in duct tape. Unsure if pool light electrical was still “hot”. Pool light as observed is a safety hazard. Pool light is to be repaired or replaced by 9/1/21 C.O.B or by the time EH is called for reinspection.
