Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 3-2 loss to Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA) on Tuesday. Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA) scored on a single by Rajayla McBride and a single by Emily Allegood in the second inning.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA) pitchers struck out eight, while Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity sat down three.
Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA) opened up scoring in the second inning, when McBride singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Allegood was credited with the victory for Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA). Allegood allowed four hits and two runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out eight.
Brenna Conley took the loss for Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity. The bulldog allowed eight hits and three runs over six innings, striking out three.
Z’Riah Solomon went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Bainbridge Lady Cats Varsity in hits.
Allegood led Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA) with two hits in three at bats. Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA) was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Madison Plymel made the most plays with eight.
