On April 30, 2021, at approximately 1849 hours, Corporal (Cpl.) Timothy Fowler was located in the area of Newton Road and Pine Hill Road, in reference to a Decatur County Sheriff’s Office road check with the assistance of Georgia State Patrol. While in the area, Cpl. Fowler made contact with a black in color, Kia Sorento, that drove through the road check. Cpl. Fowler spoke to the driver of the vehicle, who stated that he did not have a driver license on his person at the time. Cpl. Fowler requested for that driver to go to the curb in front of Georgia State Patrol’s vehicle. Cpl. Fowler then made contact again with the driver, Trent Richardson. Upon Cpl. Fowler’s request Richardson was checked through Decatur Grady 911. E-911 later advised Cpl. Fowler that Richardson was Wanted out of Leon County Sheriff’s Office. 911 also advised that Richardson’s license had been suspended multiple times, and that Richardson was not licensed in the State of Georgia. Richardson was arrested and transported to the Decatur County Jail.

On May 13, 2021, at approximately 1457 hours, Deputy (Dep.) Patrick Wilkinson, and Sergeant (Sgt.) Edwin Harvey, responded to 3225 Faceville Highway (Faceville Store), in Bainbridge, Georgia, in reference to Child Neglect. Upon arrival, Deputy Patrick Wilkinson made contact with the complainant, Sean Watson. Watson stated that the 3-year-old on scene observed by Dep. Wilkinson and Sgt. Harvey, had been left at the Faceville Store. Watson stated that the child had been there by himself for approx. an hour. Dep. Wilkinson then contacted DFACS, who later responded to the scene.

On Friday, May 14, 2021, at approximately 1026 hours, Deputy Ariel Varner, Lieutenant Patrick Trolinger responded to 114 Lake Decatur Drive, in reference to a Domestic. While responding to the domestic E-911 advised deputies that (offender) Austin Toney had fired several shots at the residence. Lt. Trolinger was travelling south bound on Spring Creek Rd., and observed a white male, grey sweatpants, no shirt, walking northbound across the bridge just north of Lake Decatur Rd. Austin Toney was arrested and transported to the Decatur County Jail.
