Eugene S. “Gene” Webb, 90, of Bainbridge, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Salem Seminole Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Humphries and Rev. David Roland officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery with Guy Farmer Sunday School Class, Mitch Inlow, Sammy Griffin, Mark Pope, Jerry Yates, and Billy Keasler serving as honorary pallbearers.

Gene was born on May 24, 1936, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Quinton and Leona Webb. He graduated from Phillips High School in Birmingham before faithfully serving his country in the United States Army, the United States Air Force, and the Air National Guard. Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful career as a project manager with Ingalls Iron Works and Bates & Associates.
A devoted man of faith, Gene attended First Baptist Church and was active in the Guy Farmer Sunday School Class. He was known as a hardworking man whose strong work ethic was evident throughout his life. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed cheering on the University of Alabama football team, following drag racing, and spending weekends at the family tree farm, where he made many cherished memories with those he loved.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Pat Webb; his children, Bryan Webb (Sue) and Connie Webb Creel (Tommy); his grandchildren, Mike (Lindsey) and Leslie (Caysie); his great-grandchildren, Millie and Maddie; and a host of extended family members and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Webb, and his sister, Paulette Shelton.
