Fresh & Ready Foods LLC is recalling a limited number of Sprig & Sprout Spicy Breakfast Burrito and Fresh and Ready Spicy Breakfast Burrito because they may contain undeclared soy. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. Consumers who do not consume meat should also not consume these products, as the recall was initiated after sausage was found in products labeled vegetarian.
The recalled products were distributed in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia grab and go markets and vending machines.
The recall is limited to the products identified below that were produced at the Charlotte, North Carolina facility between July 9 and July 12, 2026, with the Fresh Thru date of July 20, 2026. All other products produced at the Charlotte facility are not impacted by this recall, and there is no impact on products produced at any other Fresh & Ready LLC facility.

No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date.
The recall was initiated following two customer complaints reporting the presence of sausage in a product labeled as vegetarian. The inadvertent inclusion of sausage resulted in the presence of soy, a major food allergen, which is not declared on the product label.
Consumers who have purchased the affected products are urged not to consume them and to discard any remaining product immediately. PT Organics Limited of Lake Oswego, Oregon is voluntarily recalling select Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Strawberry 4 oz. (113 g) pouches because of an internal packaging defect that may result in the presence of a strand of soft, food-grade plastic in the finished product.
The recalled product was sold exclusively through Kroger, Meijer, and Target retail stores nationwide between 03/06/2026 and 07/13/2026.
The recalled Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Strawberry 4 oz. (113 g) pouches can be identified by the following codes, which are stamped in black ink on the back of the pouch:
- Barcode: 8 15367 01078 0
- Lane number – identified by the number ‘4’ printed on the rear right-hand side seam
- Best-Before-Date (BBD) of 01/19/2027, 01/20/2027, 03/17/2027, 03/18/2027, 05/14/2027, or 05/15/2027.
No injuries have been reported. No other Pumpkin Tree branded products, best-before-dates, or flavors are affected by this recall.
PT Organics Limited initiated this voluntary recall after its packaging supplier last week recalled a production run of defective pouches. PT Organics’ inspections of finished product made with the recalled packaging confirmed the presence of a strand of a soft, food-grade plastic attached to the inside of a small number of pouches.
Fayus Inc., doing business as Yusol International Foods (Sacramento, CA) is expanding its recall of OLA-OLA POUNDED YAM to include product sizes 2lbs, 4lbs, 5lbs, and 10lbs due to product labeling omission of an undeclared milk allergen for sodium caseinate, a milk derivative.
The recall was initiated, and later expanded, as a result of an internal investigation discovering that some packaged OLA-OLA POUNDED YAM had been distributed in packaging that did not disclose the presence of sodium caseinate – derived from milk, a milk allergen, due to a temporary breakdown in the company’s production and packaging processes. In addition, The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) sampled the 4lb product and confirmed the omission of the milk allergen from the product label. A subsequent investigation, and CFIA sampling of the 10lb product, revealed that additional packaging sizes may be affected.
This recall includes the following product packaging sizes with the expiration dates between November 2028 through May 2029: 2lbs (0.907kg), 4lbs (1.815kg), 5lbs (2.267kg), and 10lbs (4.53kg). OLA-OLA POUNDED YAM was distributed through distribution outlets in the African and Caribbean markets between December 2025 – May 2026 in Canada, Australia and the following United States:
- California
- Georgia
- Illinois
- New Jersey
- New York
- Texas
The recalled products are packaged in a clear plastic bag. This recall does not apply to packaging that declares the milk allergen. See example attached for correct and incorrect packaging. Consumers should check expiration dates on the front of the packaging, as well as the allergen declaration labeling, to determine if they have the affected product.
CONSUMER ADVISORY: Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper Provides Update on Taylor Farms Recall, Encourages Georgians to Buy Local Lettuce
As the nationwide Cyclospora outbreak tied to Taylor Farms products imported from Mexico continues, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper is encouraging Georgia consumers to support Georgia farmers and purchase locally grown lettuce. As the Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) Food Safety Division continues to respond to this outbreak to protect Georgians, GDA is clarifying that, at this time, the recall only impacts Taylor Farms and Marketside products originating from Mexico. Currently, FDA is not aware of any “Product of the USA” Taylor Farms or Marketside products in relation to the current recall.

Less time in transport and fewer opportunities for contamination make Georgia Grown produce the safest option for Georgia consumers.”
The current recall only extends to Taylor Farms and Marketside products that are product of Mexico. Taylor Farms and Marketside products labeled “Product of the USA” are not included in the recall and remain on store shelves across Georgia. Consumers are encouraged to check the label for the “Product of USA” marker.

Taylor Farms de Mexico of Guanajuato, Mexico is voluntarily removing all iceberg lettuce sourced from central Mexico from the U.S. market, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Cyclospora. Most people infected with Cyclospora develop diarrhea, with frequent bowel movements. Other common symptoms include loss of appetite, weight loss, stomach cramps/pain, bloating, increased gas, nausea, and fatigue. Vomiting, body aches, headache, and fever may be noted. Some people who are infected with Cyclospora do not have any symptoms. If not treated, the illness may lead to dehydration and severe complications that may require higher levels of care. These complications may last from a few days to a month or longer. Symptoms may seem to go away and then return one or more times (relapse). Immunocompromised persons may experience more severe illness of longer duration along with complications requiring close medical attention.
This action was prompted by the multistate Cyclospora outbreak. We are actively removing the implicated products. The company has stopped receiving product from the implicated lot, suspended distribution of the iceberg lettuce from Central Mexico, notified our customers, and we are continuing to work with the FDA, CDC, and state authorities.
The shredded iceberg product was distributed June 29th thru July 16th in AL, AR, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, NH, NJ, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WI.
